The Sauvignon Blanc is part of the Gabriëlskloof Range, together with the Rosebud, Chenin Blanc, The Blend and Syrah. This range offers a selection of boutique-style wines that always over-deliver on quality and value.

Vinification: The Sauvignon Blanc was fermented wild in stainless steel tanks and left on its lees for seven months before bottling.

Appearance: Golden straw colour.

Nose: A pure expression of the variety leading with blackcurrant leaf and a lime-driven citrus on the nose.

Taste: The palate is fresh and stony with a range of unripe tropical fruit – pineapple and guava in particular – adding complexity.

Finish: It is nicely textured with a savoury edge to it. Balanced and bracingly fresh.

About the Producer: Gabriëlskloof winery is in the Bot River ward, part of the greater Walker Bay region. Their winemaking philosophy is one of minimal intervention, only taking action where necessary. They believe this is the only way to give prominence to and reflect their terroir.
