Wine details:
•CHAMPAGNE: Taittinger Brut Réserve Champagne (France) -Very open and expressive, delivers aromas of fruit and brioche. It also gives off the fragrance of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla pod. The entry onto the palate is lively, fresh and in total harmony. This is a delicate wine with flavours of fresh fruit and honey. Enjoy the light, crisp, citrus notes.
•WHITE: Settlement Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand) - Punchy acidity, linear and minerally, with citrus rather than tropical fruit flavours, this is an energising, refreshing white from the thirty year old Heritage vineyard. A small portion of the wine is matured in French oak but this is essentially a beautifully pure expression of what Marlborough does best.
•WHITE: Robert Mondavi Winery Bourbon Barrel Chardonnay (USA) - Intense aromas of ripe pineapple and toasted coconut emerge from the glass, framed by hints of toasted marshmallow and vanilla bean custard. A rich and creamy palate of grilled pineapple, lemon custard, graham cracker, toffee and vanilla bean is balanced by bright acidity. Subtle undertones of toasty oak and baking spices round out the lingering finish on this decadent Chardonnay. 
•RED: Penfolds Max's Shiraz (Australia) - A friendly medium-bodied
Shiraz displaying generosity of fruit and a rich balance of flavours. This wine is a vibrant blend with a lingering finish. Penfolds Max's Shiraz has a deep inky purple colour with a very ripe blackberry and dark blueberry flavours as well as liquorice. It has medium tannins and medium acidity.
•RED: Gaja Ca'Marcanda Promis (Italy) -Quite aromatic with floral wild rose and violet characteristics showing first followed by more earthy hints of eucalyptus and pine. On the palate the red and black fruit flavours are nicely fresh and juicy and complemented by creamy smooth tannins. Signing off with appealing spicy and slightly smoky hints.
•RED: Meerlust Merlot (South Africa) - The dark fruit and opulence of the wine is immediately apparent. Intense dark brambly fruit on the nose, mulberry, liquorice and damson plum with hints of dark chocolate and spice, tempered by a stony minerality. The medium-full bodied palate offers generous, ripe, pure Merlot fruit with refreshing acidity, structured yet silky tannins and pronounced length and minerality.
