A blended malt Scotch whisky named after a little piece of kit used once upon a time by distillery workers to covertly sneak spirit home... Eight different single malts from Speyside are combined by master blender Stuart Morrison to create this well-balanced whisky, which is designed to be well-suited for enjoying neat or in cocktails and mixed drinks.

Appearance: Mild and golden amber in colour. 

Nose: Peach, pear, and dried apple. Classic Speysider honey cereal notes.

Taste: Rich creamy mouthfeel, toffee apple, caramelized sugars, soft fruits, and a gentle wood presence. Chocolate digestives, nutty malt, orange peels, and soft simmering spices.

Finish: Baked goods and honey-covered fruit.

About the brand: Copper Dog is a Speyside blended malt whisky recently launched in the UK by The Craigellachie Hotel and Diageo, working together in partnership. The name ‘Copper Dog’ comes from an old device made from copper tubing with a penny soldered to one end and cork in the other, which was used by distillery workers to smuggle whisky home. It is also the name of the bar at The Craigellachie Hotel. Heart & Feints, working with illustrator Hugo Guinness, designed the bottle packaging, created the brand story and guidelines, ambassador gift boxes, photography assets, and a website - all within six months.
