Penfolds Bin 2 Shiraz Mataro (750ml)

Bin 2 by Penfolds is a concentrated, full-bodied red wine cuvée from the Mataro and Shiraz grape varieties. The grapes for this red wine grow in the Australian wine-growing region South Australia. In the glass, this wine reveals a deep dark, strong black-red colour with a deep, purple core. This cuvée shows a warm spicy, aromatically robust bouquet with hints of figs, dates, plums (prunes), quince paste and cake spices. Subtle oak notes and sophisticated integrated, fine-grained, almost powdery tannin are added in the background. A fresh acidity and a long, chunky finish with a spicy aftertaste of dark berries perfect this wine. Nose: Notes of preserved blueberries and blackberries and leather underline the aromas of the nose. Taste: On the palate, this Australian red wine is full and velvety with a medium to full body and a taste reminiscent of rich berry fruit and warm chocolate aromas.
