Produced on the exceptional terroir of Château Montrose and made in the château’s winery, Le Saint Estèphe de Montrose is the estate’s third wine and a traditional blend of classic Bordeaux grape varieties from younger vines and lees wines. Previously available only to the estate’s owners and employees, it meets the same uncompromising quality standards as Château Montrose and La Dame de Montrose and it is a typical Bordeaux blend which may be enjoyed when young.

Appearance: A fine, intense garnet red colour. 

Nose: The floral and discreet nose reveals fresh and delicate notes of violet and raspberry accompanied by toasty and spicy aromas. 

Taste: On the palate, this round, full and fleshy wine is a good reflection of its appellation. It has powerful tannins and a very good balance.

Food pairings: Best served with roasted, braised or grilled meats like steak, veal, pork, beef and game. St. Estèphe is also good with both hard and soft cheese.

About the Producer: Château Montrose is a winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. The wine produced here was classified as one of fourteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855.
