The Louis Roederer Brut Nature Philippe Starck is a champagne without artifice, conceived as an exchange, forged by a long-standing friendship. This champagne is the personification of the free-thinking that resulted from an encounter between Maison Louis Roederer and the creator Philippe Starck. Brut Nature is a minimalist cuvée, made without dosage. It is a champagne with a unique taste, authentic, which blends the grapes from the harvest.

Vinification: From the vineyard of “La Rivière”

Appearance: Yellow with slightly amber tints. Discreet, ultra-fine effervescence.

Nose: The bouquet is pure, slender, vertical, rich, and concentrated. It evokes ripe but very fine aromas: fine and delicate citrus zest (lemon, orange), vanilla (Madagascar bourbon vanilla), and warmer nuances of baked apple, tatin which gradually open up towards nougat.

Taste: The palate offers a marked and singular contrast, at once very expressionist through the broad, juicy, almost sensual texture of the Cumières clays in a solar year and resolutely minimalist thanks to a true line of pure, mineral and salivating freshness linked to the zero dosage. The ripe citrus fruits mingle with the warm pebbles, further supporting this salivating and umami side.

About the Producer: Conceived as an exchange and shaped by friendship, this wine is first and foremost a result of the free-thinking that came out of a meeting between Louis Roederer’s CEO Frédéric Rouzaud, his cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon and the designer Philippe Starck. Their conversations led to the creation of the very first Brut Nature in 2006 and the relationship continued to grow over the years. The Brut Nature was born from an idea of the dreamed-for, perfect champagne. It is a wine that captures the freshness of the clay soils in a sunny year, a wine of truth, the testimony to an encounter, a soil, free spirits, and the independent spirit that runs through the Champagne House. It is a champagne that perfectly encapsulates this new exploration of a Louis Roederer terroir.
