Hendrick's is an unusual gin created from eleven fine botanicals. The curious, yet marvellous, infusions of rose & cucumber imbue our spirit with its uniquely balanced flavour resulting in an impeccably smooth distinct gin.

Appearance: Transparent in colour.

Nose: The nose certainly has a juniper, but I find the musky hint of rose lightens it and gives it a floral forward impression. Sweet orange, lime zest and a hint of elderflower as well. The pine notes give it structure, but the floral notes give it a unique character.

Taste: The palate exudes the backbone of a very classic gin. You get the angelica, coriander, juniper and orris root accord. Sitting on top of that Hendrick’s has a surprising amount of citrus, especially mid-palate where orange and lime again resurface, almost with a candy-like note. Late palate with a faint hint of yarrow and black pepper.

About the Producer: Hendrick's Gin is a brand of gin produced by William Grant & Sons at the Girvan distillery, Scotland, and launched in 1999. The brand was created by spirits marketer Steven Grasse, while the gin itself was conceived by Lesley Gracie, a Yorkshire native, who was hired by William Grant & Sons to work in new liquid development for some of their products. A decade later she was tasked with creating a new super-premium gin. In addition to the traditional juniper infusion, Hendrick's uses Bulgarian rose and cucumber to add flavour. Hendrick's gin is bottled in a dark brown, apothecary-style bottle.
